Our Flagship ExperienceAttend our RFE and learn how everything in nature is interconnected: how bio-active soil grows healthy plants, which produce flowers and nutritious fruits! And that many fruiting plants need pollinators, which is where our rescued bees come in. Then, go up close and observe active honeybees foraging and tending to their nest! Finally, savour some nutritious honey and garnish your own cocktails (or a healthy alternative, kombucha), with organic produce growing around you. Psst: Also come cuddle our free-roaming Silkie chicken!
Our 2hr RFE features 3 unique activities: 1. Organic Farming Class 2. Bee Encounter 3. Farm-to-table Tastings Happens from 5 to 7pm, every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. |

Organic Farming Class (40 mins)
There's nothing like great soil to grow great vegetables! But what is actually in that brown stuff? Our organic farming masterclass will reveal the forgotten secrets of all-natural farming. You'll also go up close with what you'd previously thought were 'creepy crawlies' -- but are actually crucial for creating healthy soil. And healthy soil means nutritious produce, and a healthier you.
- Understand the difference between chemical and organic fertilisers - Study the soil food web and microbial life - Bring your own food scraps to help us make compost - Explore how humus, mulch, and compost improve quality of your crop |
Bee Encounter (40 mins)
We all used to fear bees as kids, but no insect benefits us more than the honeybee. They pollinate our crops, provide us honey, and enliven a garden like no insect can. Now you have the chance to study these creatures up close! We will provide bee-suits; kids sizes available too.*
- Inspect different species of bees' hives / nests - Observe them at work harvesting flowers from the garden around - Learn about the 'hive mind' and different roles of worker bees * Interacting with bees come with inherent risk of being stung. While we will do our utmost to keep you safe, those with severe allergies to bee-stings should not sign up. |
Farm-to-table Tastings (40 mins)
After your Bee Encounter, delight in a honey-tasting session. Ditch those generic squeeze tubes; all bland mixed honey... Here you will sample different kinds of unifloral honey, and learn new vocabulary to describe them other than "sweet". You will walk way better appreciating their colour, aroma, clarity, texture, and taste.
Finally, forage around the farm at sunset for flowers, leaves, or fruits of exotics like rosemary and lemon balm. We will end the evening chilling over your very own self-made garden infusions-- and we promise nothing tastes better! |
