The art of paper marbling
An ancient paper craft that can be traced back to the 15th century in Venice, marbled paper was traditionally applied to book covers, end-papers, and edges of books. You now get to try this art on the gorgeous Sundowner rooftop!
What is paper marbling? Aqueous surface design, which produces patterns similar to smooth marble, just dizzyingly colourful. The patterns are the result of paint floated on a viscous solution, and then carefully transferred to an absorbent surface, such as paper or fabric.
At Studio Marbleous, we continue to pursue the pleasure of freezing these effervescent designs on paper. You'll get to experiment and take home your own framed art piece!
